Let your children discover the world of dog mushing with this family-friendly activity in Sweden. Meet the dogs, learn about sled gear, enjoy a short cart ride, and spend time caring for and cuddling the huskies after.
This 2-hour activity is designed for families with children who are curious about the life of a musher. The experience starts with a meet-and-greet with the dogs, followed by an interactive session where kids use illustrated notes to draw, puzzle, and learn about the gear used in dog sledding.
With help from the guide, children will help collect the necessary equipment, learn how to put on a harness, and prepare a small team of dogs. Depending on the weather, they will enjoy a short cart ride of 5–10 minutes or join the dogs for a short run instead.
Afterwards, families will help care for the dogs by providing water and food, and enjoy some quiet time with them. The session ends with cookies and drinks by the fireplace, offering time for questions and cuddles.
